Manchester Super Giants strengthened their push for a play-off spot in The Hundred with a hard-fought 10-run win over Southern Brave at the Rose Bowl in Southampton on Saturday, 8 August 2026.
Batting first, the Super Giants rode a strong opening stand of 119 runs between Tim Seifert and Paul Walter to post 149 for 8 in their 100 balls. Walter was the star with the bat, smashing a rapid 64 off just 32 deliveries, packed with six fours and four sixes. Seifert also played a key hand, scoring 55 from 34 balls before being run out by Moeen Ali.
In reply, Southern Brave could only manage 139 for 6, falling 10 runs short despite a late flurry from Nikhil Chaudhary, who struck 19 off just 10 balls. Leg-spinner Adil Rashid was the pick of the bowlers for the Super Giants, picking up 2 wickets for 17 runs to help seal the win.
The defeat effectively ends Southern Brave's hopes of reaching the knockout stage of this year's competition, while Manchester Super Giants continue to strengthen their case for a top-three finish.
